About Virtual Academy

Overview
Established during the 2024-2025 school year, Jackson Public Schools offers a virtual learning academy for students in grades?9-12 in accordance with State Board Policy 56.2. For the Virtual Learning Academy, all MDE process standards (i.e., student-teacher ratios, instructional practices, planning time, compulsory attendance, teacher evaluations, etc.) will be held to the same standards as in-person learning. Scholars attend a full day of courses online with a combination of synchronous and asynchronous instruction.?
Mission
The mission of the Virtual High School Academy is to provide innovation, designed to meet the ever-changing needs of our scholars, community, and families. The program strives to provide a premium online education. We are committed to ensuring this outcome through holistic data analysis, tiered instructional delivery, and quality experiences filled with creativity.
